Real estate is an exciting business to build…and it is one of the EASIEST to start…
but many new agents lack the training to be successful.
Getting into real estate requires some courses in state and national real estate law, then you take (and pass) a licensing test, pay a few fees…and that is about it!
Unfortunately, there isn’t much in the way of education and training offered to most new agents.
HOW DO I DO THAT? … I am sure as a new agent this statement is on repeat in your mind as you begin the daunting task of building your new real estate business. In order to be a SUCCESSFUL AGENT,
you must know what you’re doing.
Hire a COACH -
Build YOUR business from the ground UP!
Short-term goals and urgency to make money will most often require you to do things outside of your “go to”comfort zone This means that you might have to “eat the frog” and spend a few hours each month doing SOMETHING you won't enjoy very much. Remember: if your business grows – SO WILL YOUR OPTIONS!! A COACH can help get you through all the “stuff you don't want to do…” and get to your comfort zone FASTER.
By tackling the most difficult or unpleasant task (symbolized by "eating the frog") early in the day, people are able to gain momentum and overcome procrastination. This technique teaches individuals to prioritize their tasks and focus on high-value activities that will contribute to their success.
Each agent will be coached according to their individual needs AND production level.
My GOAL will be to help you build a strong foundation for your business, provide motivation, and ACCOUNTABILITY. It's not about your natural charm or charisma, but rather about your ability to be disciplined, organized, and accountable. These are traits that can be developed and honed over time.
Having someone objective to hold you accountable is important because they can provide unbiased feedback and help you identify areas for improvement. They can also help you set realistic goals and hold you to them. This level of accountability is key in pushing yourself to reach your full potential as a real estate agent.
Additionally, accountability is not just about reflecting on your losses, but also celebrating your wins. By reviewing your successes, you can understand what worked well and replicate it in future endeavors. This ongoing self-reflection and evaluation is crucial for continuous improvement and growth.
Overall, the mindset of self-accountability or relying solely on loved ones is not sufficient in the real estate industry. Find someone who can provide objective feedback, help you analyze your performance, and hold you accountable to your goals. This will greatly increase your chances of success in the competitive world of real estate.
However, trying to permanently change your personality to fit into the real estate industry is not only difficult but also unnecessary. Instead, focus on leveraging your natural strengths and finding strategies that work for you.
For example, if you're naturally introverted, you don't have to force yourself to become a gregarious and outgoing real estate agent. Instead, find ways to connect with clients that align with your strengths. You can excel at building relationships through thoughtful and personalized communication, leveraging technology to stay connected, and focusing on providing exceptional customer service.
On the other hand, if you're naturally extroverted, embrace your social skills and use them to your advantage. Network with potential clients, attend industry events, and confidently present properties to clients. By staying true to yourself and playing to your strengths, you'll build trust and rapport with your clients, ultimately leading to long-term success.
Remember, the real estate industry needs agents with a variety of personalities. Clients have diverse preferences and needs, and they will appreciate working with an agent who understands and respects their unique communication style.
So, instead of trying to conform to a specific mold, focus on being authentic and genuine. A coach will help you embrace your individuality, and use it as an asset in your real estate career. By staying true to yourself, you'll not only achieve long-lasting success but also find fulfillment and happiness in your developing business.
A chicken and a pig are walking together when the chicken says "Hey Pig, lets start a Bacon & Egg breakfast resturant!". The pig thinks for a bit, then replys "No...I don't think we would work well together." The chicken iooks hurt and confused, so the pig then says "Chicken, I would be COMMITTED but you would only be involved!".
Coaching requires an investment of time, effort, and a COMMITTMENT to step out of your comfort zone. It can be challenging and may push you to confront limiting beliefs or habitual patterns that hold you back. To make the most of your coaching experience, you must be ready to embrace these challenges and stay committed to the process.
So, ask yourself: do you have the tenacity to fully commit to coaching, follow your coach's guidance, and put in the necessary time and effort to achieve your desired results? If the answer is yes, then coaching may be a valuable investment for your personal and professional growth.
